NEWBIE TAKES ON THEIR VIRTUAL WELCOME SEMESTER
WHAT STOOD OUT TO YOU FROM BOND VIRTUAL SEMESTER?
“What stood out to me from BOND's virtual semester was the dedication to staying connected and forming a strong community. BOND prides itself in having a tight-knit community, and even during a virtual semester, it upheld that standard with virtual BONDings, one on one meetings, and our consulting projects. For me, even through Zoom meetings and FaceTimes, I was still able to become part of the BOND community and now I look forward to the many semesters to come.”

“The effectiveness of my project group was quite amazing as we never even met in person one time. We collaborated seamlessly on specific work streams and as an entire team to create great final deliverables. HOW DID BOND SUPPORT YOU THIS PAST SEMESTER?
“BOND and its members (from all leadership positions) have been beneficially receptive and personable in dealing with any and all issues that arose. With this in mind, each board member has graciously reached out to me for my input on how the club has been running on top of offering help in resolving my conflicts. As such, this support has mitigated future problems that could have potentially risen as well as allowed me to assimilate into the club without exasperating circumstances.”

HOW IS THE BOND COMMUNITY VIRTUALLY?
“Being virtual has been tough for everyone and it can be especially difficult to build a sense of community during these times. Despite this, I believe BOND has done an excellent job of making me feel like a part of their community. From the online zoom calls, where we did nothing but play games, to the coffee chats with many of the upperclassmen, I truly have a connection with all BOND members and a sense of belonging to our community.”

WHAT ARE YOU EXCITED ABOUT FOR THE W21 SEMESTER?
“The BOND community has been one of my favorite aspects of the past virtual semester. Regularly meeting new people through coffee chats and talking to my project members on our workstreams has been super fun and I am very thankful that I have the opportunity to do so. Everybody I meet is crazy intelligent and working with them is an awesome learning experience and a great time. I am so excited to be apart of such a fun community and can’t wait for in-person BONDings next school year when I am back on campus!”

“Client acquisition is pretty exciting! I really want to source a client, I like all of the companies I've scouted a lot and would love to work with them. Also I finally get to bully some newbies of my own.”
